Summertime is here filled with holidays. We have just had a long weekend in the Bahamas and upon starting back in the office I took a morning walk on a local beach. To my surprise, I saw the aftermath of people partying the night before. They had left their garbage behind them, polluting the land and sea.
Our climate and our planet is the most important topic on the table for humanity. That is why as a leader or future leader I write to you again today. It is the single greatest challenge for the Human Race to solve. It is going to take every one of us to stand up for our world that we live in and to learn to live properly and in harmony with her for the good of all.
500 million straws are used in the US everyday, that’s ½ a billion straws everyday going into the environment. Refuse the Straw movement started in the US and is gathering momentum around the world. Its focus is to educate pubs and restaurants on the destructive nature of the straw and change consumer behavior by stopping providing them.
By 2019 Volvo will no longer make cars with full carbon based engines, they will be all electric or hybrid. They are the first big car manufacturer to announce such plans. By 2040 France will have banned all carbon based fuel sources from its land. They are the first major country to commit to such a plan.
