We all want to have happy, fulfilling lives—lives with meaning, with passion, with purpose. This doesn’t come easy.

Hellen Keller once said, “A happy life consists not in the absence, but in the mastery of hardships.”

There is a direct correlation between Pain and Purpose. Your purpose is hidden within your pain and is revealed through how you handle hardships. Have you ever stopped to assess your pain and understand the reason for it?

By recognizing the purpose of our circumstances, we can become Masters of our mindsets and our outcomes. We can uplift ourselves and others. We can THRIVE!

If you refuse to acknowledge the helpfulness within the hardships and only focus on the negative, what do you think your outcome will be?

Many people, unfortunately, miss out on living their fullest lives because they are afraid to face their struggles. Instead, they try to avoid painful situations or look for something to protect them from them. This only hinders their happiness and their ability to evolve.

Pain does not destroy us; it reveals us! It makes us grow stronger and allows us to discover incredible things about ourselves we might have otherwise missed.

There are two critical decisions that must be made in moments of pain:

  1. Determine what to do IN your pain
  2. Determine what to do WITH your pain

Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. You can choose to let it consume you, OR you can choose to master it and experience great success.

What will your choice be?
